Gambling Questionnaire

Real money online casino play, and gambling in general, should be entertainment and an overall enjoyable experience. If online gambling or any type of gambling in general has become stressful, or no longer fun, it may be time to examine your habits.

Below is a simple questionnaire taken from the Gamblers Anonymous website. Answer the below 20 questions Yes or No and then review your results. While this questionnaire is not meant to be a diagnosis of any kind, it may help getting a better perspective on your gambling.

Are You a Compulsive Gambler?

Each Question Should Answered “Yes” or “No”

  • Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
  • Has gambling ever made your home life unhappy?
  • Did gambling affect your reputation?
  • Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
  • Did you ever gamble to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
  • Did gambling cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
  • After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?
  • After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?

Interpretation

Just about anyone who does gamble on a semi-regular basis can answer “Yes” to at least one of the above questions. However, if you find you have answered Yes to 3 or more questions, finding additional resources may be advisable.

You can take the same exact questionnaire as above on the GA Website, and they will provide feedback based on your answers. It can be completely confidential, and all be done online.
