3 Tips to Secure Your Online Casino Account

December 12, 2018 Category :General 0

The explosive growth of technology over the last couple decades has opened new and exciting opportunities across all industries, including the introduction of online casinos themselves. Unfortunately, these opportunities have also opened many doors behind which lie new threats and risks online casino players need to become aware of. Anymore it seems all too easy to fall for a phishing scam or other form of cyber attack as cyber-criminals invest a lot of time and effort into perfecting them due to the hefty payouts they can yield. The increase in both cyber attacks and the avenues these cyber-criminals are able to reach players has made proper account security the number one priority for online casino players everywhere.

First and foremost, ensure the online casino you choose is both reputable and secure. Getting an idea of an online casino’s reputation is just a Google search away, and will generally yield several reviews from many sources that discuss the pros and cons of certain online casinos. Lucky for you, you have found our website and we done this part for you. We only list reputable USA online casinos and have extensively reviewed the history and credentials of every USA online casino we list and recommend.

Next, checking for security is as essential as it is easy. Simply visit an online casino and, before entering any personal information, verify there is a “Secure” tag in front of the website’s URL. Another to verify this is by looking at the URL of the website. If the URL starts with “https”, the “s” means secure. Websites where the URL starts with just “http” means it has not purchased a secure certificate and your personal information may be able to be viewed by third parties. If you do not enter any personal information on the website, there actually no need for the https, but every all online casinos for real money should have a secure tag. While this seems like a mundane task, websites with the “Secure” tag are guaranteed to be registered, valid, and have proper levels of encryption.

Next, avoid simple passwords. Simple passwords which do not contain symbols, numbers and/or capital letters are easier for cyber-criminals to bypass. Mixing these complexities into one’s password is well worth any player’s time, as it adds another layer of defense between your personal information, such as credit card numbers, and cyber-criminals. With that said, that does not mean one should put together a random string of characters, numbers, and symbols and call it a day, as no one would be able to remember any of their passwords when the time comes to reenter them. Casino players should strive to create a password that is personal and easy to remember, includes complexities, and does not relate to any obvious personal details cyber-criminals can find online, such as one’s birthday.

Last, two factor authentication is an online security advancement that has recently risen in popularity, which offers massive account security improvements. It works by requiring a third piece of information on top of a username and password that only you have access to. This third piece of information can be anything, but generally comes in the form of a text to a personal phone or email sent to a personal email unrelated to the email attached to the account. Essentially, two factor authentication seeks to prove beyond just what a user has, such as their username and password that could be stolen by criminals, and tests what a user knows or can learn from another avenue of contact. It is the same principle banks apply to requiring a physical card and memorizing a personal PIN which increases security greatly. Not all online casinos have two factor authentication, and that does not mean a casino that is lacking it is any less trustworthy, but casino players can take solace in the online casinos that do offer two factor authentication, as the extra layer of security helps immensely.

All in all, no matter how much you play, in today’s Digital Age if you are creating accounts that require personal information it is essential to take proper account security measures. Cyber attacks are on the rise as criminals continuously work to discover new and innovative ways to acquire your information, so keeping ahead of the curve has become more cumbersome and difficult. However, there is no need to fear as long as the three essential tips given in this article are followed: find a reputable casino, avoid simple passwords, and, ideally, set up two factor authentication and of course stick with our listing of USA online casinos.

The New York State Gaming Commission reports that the first week of operation saw newly-opened Rivers Casino in Schenectady County, New York record a profit of $3 million. Only six days after Rivers Casino and Resort opened their door to players to enjoy slot and table games, where they spent a total of $27.3 million, thus contributing to a highly successful first week and the beginning of operation of the new casino. All the officials are more than satisfied with this good start, mostly because the largest share of the tax money will be spent on education.

Rivers Casino in Schenectady County celebrated its opening on February 8 at noon. Long-awaited opening gathered around 3,500 people who came to enjoy slots and table games. The casino was worth $330 million and it took 13 months to completely finish it. Operated by Rush Street Gaming of Chicago, the casino offers 1,142 slot machines, 15 poker tables and 67 gaming tables situated on a gaming floor spreading on 50,000 square feet. Next to the gaming facilities, the resort also houses a 10,000 square-meter hall for organizing special events or conferences. The addition of a spa and a hotel with 165 rooms is planned by the end of the year. The casino is situated near the Mohawk Harbor, a commercial and residential area near the river. Rivers Casino and Resort already employs more than 1,000 people and this number will be increased even more when they open spa and hotel.

Already in the first week marked the record revenue sum of $27.3 million which earned them a profit of $3 million. The slots were the most visited and the most profitable part of the casino. The share earned from slots amounts to $23.1 million, the tables generated $4.3 million, while poker tables brought $110,000. There are estimates that 2.8 million people will go through Rivers Casino and Resort every year. The figures are good news for both the management and the state officials as 80% of the tax money will be used to invest in public schools and local communities. According to the New York State law, the casinos are obliged to pay 45% tax on revenue from slots and 10% on table games. There are four licensed casinos in New York State: del Lago, Tioga Downs, Montreign and Rivers.

New Tribal Online Casino

February 18, 2017 Category :General 0

Tribal communities in North America are relying to a great extent on the industry of gambling through various activities: casinos, lotteries, bingo etc. The main reason is that they do not have many options to boost their economy and create work places for their members. This is one of the reasons why First Nations entrepreneur Gerry Gionet is planning to launch a new tribal-branded online casino under the name All Nations Casino that will be available to Canadian, North American players and to the customers from around the globe. The new casino will be operated by Golden Arrow marketing company founded precisely by Gerry Gionet.

The newly-built All Nations Casino will provide complete service to its customers including online casino, sports betting and lottery. The launch is scheduled for next month under the operative management of Golden Arrow. The software providing the software, affiliate systems and gaming content on the online casino will be Alteatec iGaming Management System, a part of a group of international group of IT companies – Alteatec Group. The players will have the choice of 300 tables and slots, some of which will, symbolically, feature tribal themes. This number will surely increase in the future. As for the sports betting, Golden Arrow has partnered with German leaders in the field, Tipster.de, previously known as Bet90.

Complete operations and services related to All Nations Casino and directly involved in the management of the casino will be performed by the members of First Nations, which is one of the main reasons why Gionet ventured in this business in the first place – to create job opportunities to his people and to strengthen the economy of the tribal communities, who are in a difficult situation mostly due to lower oil prices which caused the increase in unemployment rate. Furthermore the wildfires that occurred last year in Alberta, Saskatchewan also contributed to the difficult situation of tribal nations.

Gerry Gionet is one of the successful First Nations entrepreneurs who has been in the construction business for over 30 years now and his beginnings involved the same challenges as many tribal members face today. Gionet started in New York with the Mohawk tribe and slowly built his own business of steel constructions for the services of oil industry. In 2012 he came up with the idea to start a more future-oriented by using the benefits of modern technology and the trends in gambling industry which is increasingly turning its focus on online activity. Gionet’s first attempt was in 2012 when he created GEObet, also an iGaming platform, which is when Golden Arrow marketing company was founded with the aim to lead the operation of the online gaming activity. As it turned out, he was not satisfied with the management, so he decided to start all over this time with All Nations Casino.

Casinos are the main drive of tribal communities’ economy in the USA as well. Owing to the Indian Gambling Regulation Act, tribal nations have a great level of sovereignty in casino operation. However, they are still not allowed to operate online casinos due to Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. For now, there is a limited number of USA online casinos which you can find in our USA Casino Reviews section. Also you can find information on promotional offers and USA Casino Bonuses or find USA Live Dealer Casinos if you prefer live casino action.

MGM To Open New Casino

December 1, 2016 Category :General 0

The sixth licensed casino in the state of Maryland is set to open on December 8th just 10 miles from Washington D.C. overlooking the Potomac River. MGM National Harbor will be the name of magnificent and luxurious resort in Prince George’s County. This $1.4bn casino is expected to be one of the top venues for hosting major events, with a number of names already announced including Bruno Mars, Cher, Duran Duran and other famous artists.

World-Class Gaming and Entertainment Experience

MGM National Harbor carries the trademark of MGM Resorts International, the company behind famous casinos Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage. The newly-opened casino resort will offer exclusive content in terms of both casino and amenities. Premium service will be available through the exclusive hotel of 308 rooms on 24 floors, modern lounges, exclusive restaurants with renowned chefs, retail shops, a spa, nightclubs, meeting space and of course top-class casino. The casino will spread over 125,000 square feet housing over 3,000 slot machines, poker and other table games for a complete gaming experience.

Though certain rooms will be named after other MGM resorts such as Ballroom Bellagio and Mirage Boardrooms, the interior of MGM National Harbor will not adopt their flashy Las-Vegas neon light style. Instead, the sixth Maryland casino will sport a more sophisticated and elegant look. Public spaces within the resort will be decorated with art including the metal sculpture in the form of an iron arch by Bob Dylan.

The accompanying facilities intended for entertainment and large-scale events will have the capacity to accept up to 4,000 people for various kinds of events. Many big names have already been announced and booked to perform, including Bruno Mars, Cher, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Kings Of Leon and more.

Is There a Reason for Concern?

However grand and luxurious this new addition to state’s list of casinos sounds, there have been some opposing opinions and attitudes towards MGM National Harbor.

First of all, there have been heated debates among legislators whether or not the new casino should get the license because there is a real danger of over saturating the gambling market as can be seen on the example of Atlantic City. The response to this was that the new casino would boost state’s economy through thousands of new jobs and revenue which according to the law will go to Education Trust Fund. In fact, 20 percent of the total MGM National Harbor revenue from table games will go to the state, 15% of which will fund the Education programs, while 5% will fund local grants.

Another issue of concern is the traffic congestion that would imminently arise due to the vehicle load on the highways which will be doubled as seen by the projections. Around 20,000 people are expected to head via Interstate 95 on daily basis. Local authorities claim that they are aware of this fact and that they will deal with it by sending more police officers to the critical road points and using digital message boards and helicopters.

About MGM Resorts International

MGM Resorts International was founded in 1987 and today it is one of the leading companies in the field of hospitality and entertainment. They operate a number of gaming venues and resorts in Las Vegas, New Jersey, Mississippi and Detroit. After MGM National Harbor they are planning to open another resort in Massachusetts – MGM Springfield. They won the bidding for a license over Hard Rock’s proposal for West Springfield and Mohegan Sun’s proposal for Palmers.

Is It Safe and Legal to Play Online?

October 21, 2016 Category :General 0

UIGEAIf you live in the USA you’ve probably heard about ‘Black Friday’ and all the troubles that came along with it. You hear things like ‘FBI’, ‘shutdown’, ‘illegal’ or ‘UIGEA’ and you wonder what is this all about and whether you can play your usual casino games.

In fact, nothing has really changed. Online gambling and gambling in general, was, is and will forever be an important aspect of the American culture. While we can’t deny that compulsive gambling is a problem at a personal level, this problem is actually a very little problem at the federal level, statistics suggest.

There have been many efforts and years of talk about the subject and more people are confident that it’s only a matter of time until online gambling becomes 100% legal and regulated in the United States. And while this is a ‘game’ for the lawmakers, players want action now, today!

So is it sake and legal to play from the USA? We believe the answer is yes, it is safe and also legal to play casino games online but you do have to do it at the right place.

Not every online casino accepts USA players, so in order to register make sure to use one of our recommended USA online casinos. Also make sure they offer you enough deposit and withdrawal methods that work for you. You don’t want to make a deposit, win some bucks and then not be able to cash that out.

The truth is, there are many online casinos accepting USA players. As long as they are not hosted and/or operated from the USA, it’s OK to play with them. Remember though, not every casino site that claims to accept USA players is 100% safe. It is best for you to check them out and read reviews. Some of the online casinos we strongly recommend to our visitors are Aladdin’s Gold, Las Vegas USA, BetOnline and Lucky Red. All of them accept USA players and it is absolutely safe and legal to register and play. What’s more, they are powered by leading casino software providers in the likes of RTG, Rival or Betsoft which assures high-quality graphics and sounds. They also come with dedicated bonuses for USA players and support payment methods that should work for you.

In the end, remember that even though online gambling was banned in 2006, there is no law in the United States at the federal level that prohibits online gambling. It is illegal to wager on a server located in the USA or advertise online gambling in media, but it’s not a problem if you play for yourself at one of the many USA friendly online casinos. At least all the research we have done suggests this. It is important to check your local laws, but nowhere can we or anyone else we have talked to find a law stating it is illegal to play online casino games and slots from the USA.

Banking is the biggest issue facing Americans so be sure to see all the USA online casino deposits and methods available. When your ready to cash out some of the most common payment methods for USA players are Cash and Money Transfers, Wires, Checks and even Bitcoin. It is of course up to each individual to decide what’s best for them. But things are quite safe for the millions of Americans that gamble online and this is not a question to worry about!

Our Christmas Casino Wishes

December 18, 2015 Category :General 0

We only work with the best legal USA online casinos around and that means that many of our Christmas casino wishes have already come true, because these excellent online casinos already deliver almost everything that we could want. However, in our Christmas wish list of what we want to see in 2016 we’ve got hopes for the wider world of online casinos, as well as one or two tiny suggestions that would make things at these great casinos even better… and we might even throw in the odd wild fantasy too.

Christmas Wish One

If you stick to the high quality, well-regulated and long-established online casinos that we feature here at USALegalCasinos then you shouldn’t have any problem getting paid but sadly there are too many less-than-scrupulous online casinos out there and too many people who have lost out.

In 2016 we hope for fast, efficient payments, with no excuses and no disappearing acts. Thankfully here at USALegalCasinos we’ve never suffered any problems in this regard but for those that have, we wish you luck in getting paid.

Christmas Wish Two

Our second Christmas wish is something we have a sneaky feeling may even come true: we’d like to see more and more mobile casino games. Many of our partner online casinos have a mobile version of their casino and whilst some offer a decent range of games, too many are yet to really invest in mobile and as such only offer a tiny fraction of their game selection to those choosing the convenience of playing on their cell. In 2016 we want loads of games available on mobile and not just slots either, we want roulette, blackjack, video poker, all with different variants and rule-sets.

Christmas Wish Three

Okay, we might be getting a little greedy now but how about wagering requirements that are both clear and easy to follow and also offer us players a decent chance of making a profit? Many of the online casinos we work with have good offers but how about we take that wagering from 30 times to 20 times?

Christmas Wish Four

Whilst we’re on a greedy roll, would it be too much to ask for us to hit a nice juicy progressive jackpot in 2016? Maybe just like $100,000 or so?

UK Soldier Hits $20m Progressive Jackpot

October 23, 2015 Category :General 0

All of the best USA online casinos offer progressive slots and many of those feature jackpots worth millions of dollars, with RTG classics such as Jackpot Pinatas and Aztec’s Millions boasting jackpots around the $2m mark at the time of writing. However, earlier this month a lucky English slots fan blew those jackpots out of the water with a world record online slots win worth a staggering $20m!

What makes that mammoth win even more amazing is that he was playing for just 25p per spin – that’s less than 50 cents! US-based slots fans have plenty of progressive jackpot slots to choose from and whilst we can’t promise you an eight-figure jackpot, we can promise you the chance to win life-changing sums of cash available from one spin of the magical reels, as well as a host of real money casino bonuses to help you along the way too.

Back to England though, and Jon Heywood, aged 26 and from Cheshire in the north west of the country, won his unbelievable jackpot at the start of October but so amazed was he by his win, he actually turned up to work the next day and kept his luck quiet for three whole days! We’ve got no idea how he managed that but the young millionaire, who toured Afghanistan with the British army, clearly has hit feet firmly on the ground when it comes to how he’ll spend his fortune.

“The first thing I will l spend it on is the best possible medical treatment for my dad. Family comes first and I’d give all this money back for him to be healthy again.” It is reported that his father requires a heart and lung transplant and whilst money can’t buy health it can certainly help.

Heywood also plans to treat his family to a luxury holiday, with a cruise around the Mediterranean on the cards, whilst he’s going to treat himself to a little upgrade on the automobile front.

“I’m trying not to get carried away and I really don’t know what else I’m going to buy with the money. Apart from a yellow Bentley Continental GT. I never even dreamed of driving a Bentley, let alone owning one. I’ve got a Fiat Punto at the moment.”

If you fancy going from a $15,000 auto to one worth a quarter of a million bucks, why not try your luck on a progressive slot today – you could be the next big winner making all the news! Play at any of the safe and reputable USA online casinos listed here at USALegalCasinos.com

Best Casino Books

July 3, 2015 Category :General 0

Every now and again we take a break from playing at the top USA online casinos you see on this site and sometimes we even like to read a good book… a book about casinos of course! And here are some of our favorites which we’d recommend for when you’re not quite in the mood – or don’t have the funds or bonus cash – to play at an online casino.

Beat The Dealer by Edward O. Thorp

Beat The Dealer is the seminal book on card counting in blackjack and whilst you won’t learn anything new – the book was, after all, first published in the 1960s – its place in the history of blackjack means this is a must read for any casino fan, especially those who like blackjack.

Bringing Down The House by Ben Mezrich

This book is classed as non-fiction and tells the tale of the infamous MIT blackjack team who took casinos all over the world for tens of millions of dollars over a period of around 20 years. Whilst there is much in the book that is, shall we say, embellished, it remains both hugely entertaining and also very informative.

American Mensa Guide to Casino Gambling by Andrew Brisman

This book covers a wide range of information that is highly useful for both online casino gambling and traditional bricks and mortar casinos. The writing is wittier than you might expect from a Mensa man and the advice and tips are very thoughtful and based on sound logic.

Amarillo Slim In A World Full Of Fat People by Amarillo Slim

This book is a real easy read and great fun and whilst not strictly speaking a casino book – Slim was most famously a prop bettor, poker player and pool man – there are some great casino and gambling tales in the tome to make it a very worthy inclusion on our list. Anyone for riding a camel through a casino?

How to Win at Gambling by Avery Cardoza

If you’d rather have a great game and strategy guide than great stories, this is the one single book that covers just about everything you’ll need to play almost every major casino game with the lowest house edge that particular game allows.

The Blackjack Hall of Fame

June 18, 2015 Category :General 0

Almost all USA online casinos offer online blackjack and whether you play for a bit of fun or take your blackjack more seriously, the Blackjack Hall of Fame is sure to inspire you. Whether you need a little motivation to play after a bad run at the online tables or are just interested in blackjack history, read on for the lowdown on the Blackjack Hall of Fame.

The Blackjack Hall of Fame, which is located at the Barona Casino in San Diego, California, was created in 2002 when the seven inaugural inductees were given the incredible honor of being the first names to be recognized for their contribution to the great game of blackjack.

Those seven players were Tommy Hyland, Stanford Wong, Ken Uston, Al Francesco, Arnold Snyder, Edward O. Thorp and Peter Griffin. Perhaps the most famous name on that list is Thorp, who wrote the seminal card counting book Beat The Dealer, first published in 1962. Whilst Thorp’s contribution to the game cannot be mistaken, names such as Wong, Hyland and Griffin will also be familiar to many and the original inductees are very much a who’s who of blackjack theory, math, team play, card counting and strategy.

The initial seven were chosen from a group of 21 possible contenders and since then a number of players, experts and theorists have been added. In 2008 four names that may not be well known outside true blackjack aficionado circles were added as a collective, with Roger Baldwin, Wilbert Cantey, Herbert Maisel and James McDermott being inducted.

This foursome, known as the The Four Horsemen of Aberdeen, are said to have perfected the rules of basic strategy and so, in many ways, they are ultimately responsible for just about every variation on blackjack advantage play.

Since then one new name has been added to the Blackjack Hall of Fame each year, with author Don Schlesinger (2014) the most recent addition. Who knows though, with a little dedication, maybe you could one day make the Hall of Fame and whilst that’s unlikely you could certainly have a whole heap of fun perfecting your blackjack game online and hopefully make a few dollars in the process too! See the online blackjack casinos we recommend which all accept USA players and also check out live dealer blackjack. Live dealer online blackjack gives you the closest experience possible to playing at a land based casino bit still online. Check out all there is to know about live dealer casinos and specifically USA live dealer casinos.
