NFL Betting Tips and Analysis
As well as bringing you the best offers from the top USA online casinos we also like to cast our net a little wider sometimes and with the NFL season set to start in just a few days’ time now seems like a great time to preview the race to Super Bowl 50.
The “Golden Super Bowl” will be held at the home of the 49ers, the Levi’s Stadium, in the Golden State of California, befitting the 50th edition of the showpiece contest. In September fans, coaches and players all enter the new season with optimism and hope but before winter comes it will become obvious that most teams have little chance of making the Super Bowl and we suspect we’ll be left with the usual suspects.
The new season starts with the Pittsburgh Steelers travelling to New England to play the Super Bowl champions, the Pats, and with the home side clear favorites at -280 it’s clear which way the sportsbooks see that one going.
Indeed, many pundits are predicting yet more Super Bowl success for Tom Brady’s Pats and if head coach Bill Belichick can use Deflategate to galvanize his troops and create even more of a siege mentality than already exists at the Gillette Stadium, New England will take some stopping. They are +800 third favorites to defend the Super Bowl and it’s hard to back against them.
The favorites, however, are the team they beat back in February, the Seattle Seahawks, priced at +450 with most sportsbooks. With the Pats deprived of their first round draft pick the Seahawks will hope they can gain the edge over their rivals and with the Legion of Boom looking as good as ever it’s easy to see why they are so well fancied. Green Bay are +700, with the Colts +1000 and Denver +1400, although at this stage even teams like the Ravens and the Cowboys have to be considered at long prices.
Whichever side you want to back to go all the way, betting on the NFL and the Super Bowl is a great way to enjoy long-lasting betting fun. Betting on the NFL doesn’t provide the instant thrill of the best US legal casino games but in terms of getting weeks or months of fun from a single wager, betting on the Super Bowl is hard to top.
