Stay Sharp Playing Live Games
I really enjoy playing at Live Dealer Casinos but you do have to stay sharp and watch what you are doing. I had somewhat of a bad experience last night, and while it was my fault, I was a little disappointed the casino would not help me out.
I was playing Blackjack at the 5Dimes Live Casino which is usually always a good time. After a few hours of grinding away at the table my mind started to wonder a little and I wasn’t paying attention to the game as much as I should have been. I was playing $50 a hand and was dealt an Ace and a 5. The dealer had an 8 so of course I hit. I received a 10 so I hit again and a 3 came out making a 19 which I was more than happy with!
In my daze I accidently clicked “Hit” instead of “Stand”. I immediately realized what I did and started typing to the dealer explaining that I meant stand. My text was something like this: “No No No, STAND STAND STAND – I do not want to hit”. “STAND!”. Unfortunately the dealer did hit my hand I busted – Boo!!
After the hand was over the Pitt Boss came over and I again started asking why I received a card. He stated that because it is still computerized, the dealer must follow what the software tells her to do. So because I pressed “Hit”, the dealer had no choice but to give me a card. I pleaded my case and asked why in the world I would hit 19? He agreed but said there was nothing he could do.
The moral of this story is, while even though you are playing against a live dealer you must still pay attention to what you are doing. Unlike at a brick and mortar casino where the dealer would most likely questioned my hit, and I could have corrected my mistake, playing online does not give you that opportunity.
So stay sharp playing in the regular online casino or using the Live Dealer Casino. I will still continue to use USA live dealer casinos but it would have been nice if the dealer could have questioned my decision to make it even more like playing at a brick and mortar casino. When you are playing at a live dealer casino you can hear the dealer and they talk to you all the time. I wish she would have said, “Really? Hit?”, but unfortunately I guess they cannot do that!
